Technology Services Divisions
Technology Services provides computing and network facilities to students and faculty for their educational and research activities, supports the university's management information systems, the campus network and provides telecommunication services, provides digital media services and institutional research services. Matt McNally is the CIO.
Technology Services comprises three divisions.
The Enterprise Applications division provides implementation project management and lifecycle management for PeopleSoft and other enterprise applications. This division plans, implements, develops, operates, and maintains the university’s enterprise applications, working closely with administrative divisions and offices to accomplish these activities. Gurvinder Rekhi is the director.
Project Management Group
The PMO division provides instructional support and development for faculty, and advises and consults with faculty and researchers in the design, development and implementation of information technology services for teaching and research. It provides Blackboard development, training and support. The division performs enterprise level implementation of the university’s web sites and services and research and academic technology systems. This division plans, implements, develops, operates, and maintains university web sites and services, the Blackboard learning management system, and other enterprise software for the university. It also encompases security program management and project management for Technoogy Services. Raylene Dufresne is the director.
Technology & Communications Infrastructure
The Technology & Communications Infrastructure division provides analysis, planning, design, implementation, and management of enterprise technology structural framework (“IT infrastructure”). Areas of responsibility include data network, servers, enterprise e-mail, client computers, network and computer security, telephones, television, help desk and data technicians.
