What is next for our PeopleSoft systems?
The Human Capital Management/Campus Solutions v9 system upgrade in the summer of 2008 was a significant step in a multi-year process to improve overall effectiveness of our PeopleSoft systems.
Human Capital Management
The Center for Planning and Information Technology (CPIT) and the Office of Business Systems and Support (BSS) will support the implementation of several new PeopleSoft products in support of the Office of Human Resources. These new products will improve the usefulness of the Human Capital System and potentially introduce a variety of employee on-line self-service features. CPIT and BSS will also development and implement other Human Capital Management Solutions system enhancements identified during the upgrade process.
CUA will begin planning for the upgrade (to v9.1) and seperation of the current Human Capital Management/Campus Solutions system into two seperate systems to comply with the latest Oracle strategy announced during the 2009 HEUG Alliance conference.
Campus Solutions
Many new system enhancements were identified during the 2008 v9.0 upgrade. CPIT will be working with functional offices to develop and implement those enhancements and any new requirements. CPIT will begin to deploy Campus Solutions feature packs as announced by Oracle during the 2009 HEUG Alliance conference.
Financials
The Financials system is scheduled to be upgraded in 2010.
Enterprise Performance System
The long term disposition of our Enterprise Performance Management system will be evaulated during the Financials upgrade process.
Enterprise Portal
No significant changes are planned for our Enterprise Portal during the next few years.
