Software on Campus Computers
University-owned desktop computers provisioned by Technology Services for faculty and staff include a standard set of software. Desktop computers in computer classrooms and labs include extra software which can be found on our instructional services software page.

Software for Student Personally-Owned Computers
The University also has a license for Texthelp Systems Read&Write GOLD. You can log in with your NT username and password to access this software when you agree to the terms. You can access this software here: https://computing.cua.edu/support/read-write-gold/.
As a member of the CUA community, you receive free copies of Microsoft Office on up to five different devices! To download Microsoft Office, follow these steps:
- Go to office.com/GetOffice365
- Click the "Find out if you're eligible" link
- Put in your cardinal email address
- Follow the link that was sent to your email to complete the registration
- Install Office and sign-in with your newly created Office 365 ID
Select Adobe software is available at prices discounted up to 85% through the Adobe Student Licensing program.
Students may purchase software at reduced academic prices in the Campus Bookstore, located at 625 Monroe St., NE Washington, DC 20017.
Software for Faculty and Staff Personally-Owned Computers
Microsoft Office is available at deeply discounted academic pricing for faculty and staff for use on their personally-owned computers.
Faculty and staff are able to take advantage of the Adobe Student Licensing program to purchase select Adobe products for their personal use at home.
Other software for Personal Use For Faculty and Staff
Through its affiliation with the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area, CUA faculty and staff may purchase Microsoft, Adobe/Macromedia, Autodesk and Quark boxed software products for their personal use at home through ComputerLand of Silicon Valley at substantial discounts.
Read Write Gold
