Personal Websites

Each faculty, staff, and student has been provided with their own personal web area. You can access this file area using Internet Explorer from anywhere in the world.  To do so, log in to http://home.cua.edu and click on the "My Files" button located in the left navigation bar. You will then be in the "Personal Files" area where you can store private files on a centrally backed server.  (This folder is often referred to as your "M" drive, because it appears under My Computer as M:/ when you log onto a lab machine on CUA's campus.)

On the left side of the page you will see your folder's navigation. Within your personal files folder you will see a folder named "_WEB". Any files that you put in this folder will be publicly available via your website. Use the tools on the right side of the page to upload files and images to your web space. To edit these files/images you will need to right click on the file/image name, choose "save target as" and save to your desktop. Once the file/image has been edited, you may upload back to your web space.

To browse your personal web space, use one of the following URLs, depending on your type of account:

http://students.cua.edu/12smith/ (where 12smith is your username)
http://faculty.cua.edu/jonesabc/ (where jonesabc is your username)
http://staff.cua.edu/jonesabc/ (where jonesabc is your username)

For further assistance on how to use this interface, please contact the Information Center at 202-319-4357 or submit a help request form.
