About Purchasing through this Agreement

  • You must be a currently-enrolled Catholic University student, or an active faculty or staff employee to be eligible to purchase Adobe products under the agreement.

  • You can purchase only one (1) license for a particular product within a 12-month period under this agreement.

  • You must provide appropriate identification (see next section).

  • These product licenses are not eligible for platform migration--be sure to select products for your correct platform: Windows or Macintosh.

  • All sales are final--no returns or exchanges. Check your order carefully before finalizing it.

  • This Adobe Software is for your own personal use and may not be resold or distributed.

Appropriate Identification

Adobe requires its resellers to authenticate qualified Educational users.

Individuals wishing to purchase software under the Agreement must provide the reseller with a clear, readable copy of a current, valid photo identification and valid evidence of current enrollment at or employment by the University.  Typically this is a school photo identification card that includes date validating current status, or school photo identification or driver's license or other official photo identification with corroborating evidence.

Please see the Adobe "Qualify for education pricing" web page for complete details about these Adobe appropriate identification requirements.

How to Purchase and Install the Software

  1. Browse to the CUA Adobe Student Licensing web site (hosted by CDW-G).

  2. Click the "Adobe CLP - Student Licenses" link, and then select the operating system platform (Windows or Macintosh) on which you will install the software.

  3. Add items to your cart and check out as usual.

  4. CDW-G will contact you by e-mail and request a copy of your CUA ID.  You may provide this electronically (by scanning it yourself) or by making a photocopy and faxing it.  The e-mail will provide instructures.

  5. Allow 7-10 days for shipment of your order. Your product will ship with media (CD or DVD) and a paper coupon containing a code for obtaining your serial number that you need to install the product.  Follow the instructions on the coupon sheet.

    1. Browse to the URL provided on the coupon.

    2. On that site, enter the 12-character code printed on the coupon.

    3. Provide the information requested. Since this product is for your personal use, enter your non-CUA postal address.  BUT--be sure to use your CUA.EDU e-mail address rather than a personal e-mail address.  If you do not, your order will be delayed.

    4. Once your information has been submitted and accepted, your serial number will be displayed. Keep this serial number for future reference!

    5. To install the software, load the product CD and follow the instructions.  Enter the product serial number when prompted.

Other Important Notes

You may receive e-mail from Adobe with information about logging onto an Open Licensing site. You should ignore this as it is not needed for this special licensing. All you need to do is follow the instructions on the paper coupon that comes with your product.

Software purchased through the Adobe Student Licensing agreement is for use on your personally-owned computer only. It must not be installed on computers owned by the university. The university licenses Adobe software through a different agreement than this. Contact the computer Information Center if your university department needs to purchase Adobe software.
