Voice Mail at CUA

Most faculty and staff telephones have an associated voice mail box where telephone messages can be received and sent.

CUA Voice Mail System

In March 2008, the voice mail system at CUA was upgraded to a new AVST CallXpress system.

The new CallXpress system uses many of the same touch tone commands as did the previous Octel/VMX ("legacy") system.  This means that if you were familiar with the old system, you know how to do many functions in the new system without having to learn new commands. There are a few differences in the operation of the CallXpress system with which you will want to be familiar.

You access voice mail by dialing x4545.

How to Record your Greetings

When you access the system for the first time, it prompts you to record your new greetings and a "name" for your mailbox.

More Information

The following documents contain more detailed information about how to use the AVST CallXpress voice mail system.  The quick reference card is designed to be printed.
