Instructional Technology has a wide range of resources available for faculty and students to enhance the pedagogical environment. A partial list includes:
- Learning Management System
Catholic University currently supports the Blackboard learning management system. This system allows an instructor to post a syllabus, lesson material, course documents, and threaded discussion forums and chat rooms can be added to a course, online quizzes or assignments can be constructed and evaluated as well. Video services are available for members of The Catholic University of America community to record and stream lectures and major events throughout the year. If you would like to make a request, please give us at least 2 weeks’ notice and use fill out our request form. - Training
Our office can conduct group and one-on-one training sessions on a variety of technology topics. We have also created online modules and tutorials on popular topics. For more information please visit our training website.

Through our department you have the opportunity to borrow various types of equipment and even request help setting up this equipment for an event. You can learn more on our equipment and setup request website. - Online Plagiarism Prevention System
Turnitin is a Web-based plagiarism detection software system that allows members of the faculty to check students' papers for plagiarism. Students can also submit their papers to Turnitin, as a deterrent to plagiarism. More information can be found on our Turnitin website. - Software
