Instructional Technology has a wide range of resources available for faculty and students to enhance the pedagogical environment. A partial list includes:

  • Learning Management System
    Catholic University currently supports the Blackboard learning management system. This system allows an instructor to post a syllabus, lesson material, course documents, and threaded discussion forums and chat rooms can be added to a course, online quizzes or assignments can be constructed and evaluated as well.   • Training
    Our office can conduct group and one-on-one training sessions on a variety of technology topics. We have also created online modules and tutorials on popular topics. For more information please visit our training website.
  • Lecture Capture Solution

  • Currently we use Panopto as our lecture capture solution. This can be used to enhance the learning outcomes of the course, record a lecture if you are away at a conference, or there is a weather event on campus.
  • Online Plagiarism Prevention System
    Plagiarism Detection tools are used to prevent plagiarism and to create opportunities to help students identify how to properly attribute sources rather than paraphrase. These tools are effective as both a deterrent and an educational tool.
